These Artisan Ethics and Professional Standards (“Standards”) outline the expectations for your conduct, performance, and engagement within the Wookii ecosystem. By adhering to these principles, you uphold your professional reputation, foster trust with Customers, and contribute to Wookii’s vision of building a collaborative and reliable platform. These Standards apply to all aspects of your participation, from profile creation to service delivery, community interaction, and long-term relationship building.
1. Integrity and Transparency
- Accurate Representation: Provide truthful and complete information during registration, Know Your Customer (KYC) verification, and profile setup, including personal details, skills, and qualifications.
- Honest Expertise: Only offer services in areas where you are trained, qualified, or experienced. Misrepresenting your skills or qualifications is strictly prohibited.
- Clear Estimates: Provide realistic and detailed estimates for time, costs, and materials required for each job. Avoid vague or misleading promises.
- Authentic Testimonials: Do not fabricate testimonials, reviews, or past work history to mislead Customers or inflate your reputation.
2. Respect for Customers and the Wookii Community
- Inclusive Conduct: Treat all Customers and fellow Artisans with respect, regardless of gender, ethnicity, religion, socioeconomic background, or any other characteristic.
- Professional Communication: Use courteous, professional language in all interactions, avoiding abusive, offensive, or inappropriate remarks.
- Privacy Respect: Safeguard Customer privacy by refraining from taking unauthorised photos, sharing personal information, or engaging in gossip about Customers or their property.
- Collaborative Spirit: Foster a supportive environment by encouraging and respecting fellow Artisans. Wookii is a collaborative community, not a competitive arena.
3. Commitment to Quality Service Delivery
- High Standards: Approach every job with dedication, striving to deliver exceptional workmanship that meets or exceeds Customer expectations.
- Preparation: Arrive at job sites equipped with the necessary tools, materials, and resources to complete the service efficiently and effectively.
- Professional Appearance: Maintain a neat, professional appearance and adhere to hygiene standards, particularly for in-home services or jobs requiring close interaction.
- Timely Completion: Honour agreed-upon timelines and communicate proactively if delays or issues arise, ensuring Customers are informed promptly.
4. Communication and Reliability
- Prompt Responses: Respond to job offers, Customer inquiries, and feedback within a reasonable timeframe (preferably within 2 hours during business hours).
- Proactive Updates: Notify Customers immediately if you are running late, facing challenges, or unable to fulfil a commitment.
- Dependability: Honour all accepted bookings. Abandoning jobs, ignoring communications, or going offline without notice is unacceptable and may result in disciplinary action.
- Professional Demeanour: Maintain courtesy and composure, even in challenging situations, as every interaction shapes your reputation and Wookii’s brand.
5. Verified Identity and Skillset
- Complete Verification: Fulfil all KYC requirements, including submission of Bank Verification Number (BVN), government-issued ID, and a clear profile photo.
- Skill Validation: Provide verifiable proof of your trade or expertise, such as certificates, licenses, or documented past work, where applicable.
- Updated Profile: Keep your Wookii profile current with accurate details about your location, services offered, languages spoken, and availability. Incomplete or misleading profiles may lead to suspension.
- Ongoing Compliance: Regularly update your profile to reflect new skills, certifications, or changes in availability to ensure transparency with Customers.
6. Fair Pricing and Transparent Transactions
- Accurate Quotes: Provide clear, detailed, and reasonable price quotes based on the scope of work, materials, and time required.
- Pre-Agreed Pricing: Discuss and agree on all costs with the Customer before starting work, using Wookii’s in-app messaging system to document agreements.
- No Hidden Fees: Avoid introducing unexpected charges, sudden price changes, or unagreed costs after work begins.
- Receipts and Documentation: Issue digital or physical receipts when requested, and adhere to any Wookii-mandated pricing guidelines or controls.
7. Reviews, Ratings, and Customer Feedback
- Strive for Excellence: Treat every job as an opportunity to earn a high rating and positive feedback, reflecting your commitment to quality.
- Ethical Feedback Practices: Encourage honest feedback from Customers after job completion, but do not pressure, coerce, or incentivise them to provide favourable reviews.
- Continuous Improvement: Use constructive criticism to enhance your skills and service delivery, addressing any areas for improvement.
- Prohibited Actions: Creating fake accounts, soliciting paid reviews, or manipulating ratings is strictly forbidden and may result in account suspension.
8. Zero Tolerance for Fraud, Theft, or Misconduct
- Prohibited Behaviours: Wookii maintains a zero-tolerance policy for fraud, theft, impersonation, overcharging, or any form of manipulation or misconduct.
- Identity Integrity: Do not use another Artisan’s identity, credentials, tools, or documentation to secure or perform work.
- Customer Property: Misusing, damaging, or stealing Customer materials or property is a serious violation.
- Confidentiality: Sharing or misusing Customer personal information, including contact details or job-specific data, is strictly prohibited.
- Consequences: Violations may result in immediate account suspension, permanent bans, and potential legal action, depending on the severity.
9. Commitment to Learning and Professional Development
- Training Opportunities: Engage in Wookii-provided or subsidised training programs, workshops, or skill-building initiatives to enhance your expertise.
- Skill Enhancement: Regularly update and expand your skillset to remain competitive and deliver high-quality services.
- Community Engagement: Participate in Wookii-organised events, surveys, or knowledge-sharing sessions to contribute to the growth of the Artisan community.
- Proactive Learning: Stay informed about industry trends, new tools, and best practices to maintain a high standard of service.
10. Alignment with Wookii’s Mission and Values
- Core Values: Uphold Wookii’s commitment to integrity, excellence, community, and empowerment in all your actions.
- Platform Advocacy: Promote Wookii by recommending it to qualified Artisans and Customers who align with our Standards, helping to expand our trusted network.
- Reporting Violations: Promptly report any instances of abuse, fraud, or violations of Wookii’s policies to support@wookii.com to maintain a safe and fair ecosystem.
- Brand Representation: Act as an ambassador for Wookii, reinforcing our reputation as a trusted platform for reliable, high-quality services.
11. Violations and Disciplinary Actions
Violations of these Standards will result in disciplinary measures, determined based on the nature and severity of the infraction:

- Severe Violations: Acts such as fraud, impersonation, theft, or abuse (physical, verbal, or otherwise) may result in an immediate permanent ban without prior warning, and may be reported to relevant authorities.
- Appeal Process: Artisans may appeal suspensions or bans by contacting support@wookii.com with relevant evidence. Appeals will be reviewed within 7 business days.
