1. INTRODUCTION

Welcome to Wookii. This Commission Policy (“Policy”) explains how Wookii charges commission on eligible bookings completed through the Wookii Platform. The purpose of this Policy is to provide transparency regarding the commission charged for services facilitated through the Platform and to explain how commission forms part of Wookii’s marketplace operations. This Policy forms part of the legal agreement between Wookii Technologies Ltd (“Wookii”), Customers and Artisans. By registering as an Artisan, accepting bookings or using the Wookii Platform, you agree to this Policy. This Policy should be read together with:

  • Wookii Terms of Service;
  • Wookii Booking & Cancellation Policy;
  • Wookii Escrow Policy;
  • Wookii Refund Policy;
  • Wookii Wallet Terms;
  • Wookii Privacy Policy; and
  • any other Wookii policies published from time to time.

2. PURPOSE

The commission charged by Wookii supports the continued operation, maintenance and development of the Platform. Commission contributes to activities including:

  • operating and maintaining the Platform;
  • improving Platform functionality and reliability;
  • supporting secure payment infrastructure;
  • maintaining customer support operations;
  • developing new Platform features;
  • promoting and growing the Wookii marketplace;
  • enhancing trust, safety and security initiatives;
  • supporting the long-term sustainability of the Platform. The payment of commission enables Wookii to continue providing the technology, infrastructure and services that facilitate bookings between Customers and Artisans.

3. DEFINITIONS

For the purposes of this Policy:

  • Artisan means an independent service provider registered on the Wookii Platform.
  • Booking means a confirmed service request completed through the Platform.
  • Commission means the service fee payable to Wookii in accordance with this Policy.
  • Completed Booking means a booking where the agreed service has been completed and payment has been released in accordance with the applicable Wookii policies.
  • Platform means the Wookii mobile application, website and associated services.

4. CURRENT COMMISSION RATE

  • Unless otherwise stated by Wookii, the current standard commission applicable to eligible completed bookings is:
  • 10% of the completed booking value.
  • The commission is calculated based on the value of the completed booking processed through the Wookii Platform.
  • Where applicable taxes or regulatory charges apply, they may be treated separately in accordance with applicable law.

5. WHEN COMMISSION APPLIES

Commission generally becomes payable when:

  • a booking has been successfully completed through the Wookii Platform;
  • payment has been released in accordance with the applicable Wookii policies; and
  • the transaction is eligible for commission under this Policy. Commission is generally deducted before settlement of the applicable amount to the Artisan, unless Wookii specifies a different process.

6. BOOKINGS SUBJECT TO COMMISSION

Unless expressly stated otherwise, commission applies to eligible bookings completed through the Wookii Platform. This includes bookings:

  • initiated through Wookii;
  • negotiated through the Platform;
  • paid using approved payment methods;
  • completed in accordance with the Wookii Terms of Service. Certain promotions, campaigns or special programmes may have different commission arrangements, which will be communicated separately where applicable.

7. BOOKINGS THAT MAY NOT ATTRACT COMMISSION

Commission may not apply, or may be adjusted, in circumstances including:

  • bookings cancelled before completion;
  • bookings refunded in accordance with the Wookii Refund Policy;
  • transactions reversed due to payment errors;
  • promotional transactions where Wookii expressly waives commission;
  • other circumstances determined by Wookii and communicated through the Platform.

8. COMMISSION CALCULATION

Commission is calculated using the applicable commission rate in effect at the time the booking is completed. Where adjustments are required because of refunds, cancellations or corrected transaction values, Wookii may adjust the commission accordingly.

9. FUTURE COMMISSION STRUCTURES

As the Wookii Platform evolves, Wookii may introduce:

  • different commission rates;
  • category-specific commission structures;
  • promotional commission programmes;
  • volume-based incentives;
  • reduced commission for qualifying transactions or categories;
  • other commission models considered appropriate for the Platform. Any material change to the commission structure will be communicated through the Platform before it takes effect. Unless otherwise communicated, the standard commission remains 10%.

10. ARTISAN RESPONSIBILITIES

Artisans are expected to:

  • understand the applicable commission before accepting bookings;
  • conduct bookings through the Wookii Platform;
  • avoid actions intended to circumvent commission;
  • comply with all applicable Wookii policies. Attempting to avoid commission through off-platform arrangements may result in enforcement action under the Wookii Terms of Service.

11. OFF-PLATFORM TRANSACTIONS

To preserve the integrity of the Wookii marketplace, Customers and Artisans must not intentionally move bookings initiated through Wookii to external payment channels for the purpose of avoiding commission or Platform policies. Transactions completed outside the Platform are not covered by Wookii’s escrow payment workflow, refund process or related protections.

12. SETTLEMENT OF FUNDS

For eligible completed bookings, Wookii will calculate the applicable commission before determining the amount payable to the Artisan. Unless otherwise stated:

  • the applicable commission will be deducted from the eligible booking amount;
  • the remaining eligible balance will be processed for settlement to the Artisan in accordance with the Wookii Escrow Policy and Wookii Wallet Terms;
  • settlement remains subject to any applicable refunds, disputes, legal requirements or other Platform policies. Settlement may be delayed where reasonably necessary to complete verification, investigate fraud, resolve an active dispute or comply with applicable law.

13. COMMISSION ADJUSTMENTS

Wookii may adjust the commission applicable to a booking where reasonably necessary due to:

  • approved refunds;
  • corrected transaction values;
  • duplicate payments;
  • payment processing errors;
  • promotional campaigns;
  • pricing errors;
  • other circumstances requiring correction. Where an adjustment materially affects an Artisan’s settlement, Wookii may notify the Artisan through the Platform or other appropriate communication channels.

14. REFUNDS AND COMMISSION

Where a completed booking is later subject to an approved refund, Wookii may review the commission previously applied to that booking. Depending on the circumstances, Wookii may:

  • adjust the commission;
  • reverse the commission in whole or in part where appropriate;
  • retain the commission where permitted under the applicable Wookii policies and the circumstances of the transaction.

Any such adjustment will be made in accordance with the Wookii Refund Policy, Booking & Cancellation Policy and applicable law.

15. COMMISSION DISPUTES

If an Artisan believes that commission has been incorrectly calculated or applied, the Artisan may submit a request for review through Wookii Customer Support. The request should include any relevant information supporting the claim, including:

  • booking reference;
  • transaction details;
  • payment records; or
  • any other relevant evidence. Wookii will review the available information and communicate its findings within a reasonable time.

16. FRAUD PREVENTION

To protect the integrity of the Wookii marketplace, Wookii may monitor transactions for activities intended to avoid or manipulate commission. Examples include:

  • arranging off-platform payments after initiating a booking through Wookii;
  • creating false or duplicate bookings;
  • manipulating booking values;
  • collusion between users to avoid commission;
  • misuse of promotional campaigns. Where suspicious activity is identified, Wookii may:
  • investigate the transaction;
  • temporarily withhold settlement where appropriate;
  • suspend or restrict account activity;
  • reverse improperly obtained benefits;
  • suspend or terminate accounts in accordance with the Terms of Service;
  • report suspected unlawful conduct to the appropriate authorities where required or permitted by law.

17. RECORD KEEPING

Wookii may maintain records relating to commission calculations and settlements, including:

  • booking references;
  • transaction values;

  • communications relating to commission. These records may be used for:
  • customer support;
  • financial reporting;
  • dispute resolution;
  • fraud prevention;

  • internal auditing. Retention of these records is governed by the Wookii Privacy Policy and applicable law.

18. LIMITATION OF LIABILITY

Wookii provides a technology platform that connects Customers with independent Artisans. Except where required by applicable law:

  • Wookii does not guarantee a minimum number of bookings or earnings for any Artisan;
  • payment of commission does not guarantee promotion, ranking or visibility within the Platform unless expressly stated under a separate programme;
  • Wookii is not liable for losses resulting solely from service cancellations, customer decisions or circumstances beyond Wookii’s reasonable control. Nothing in this Policy excludes or limits any liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited.

  • business growth;
